-kindness-

i don't matter.
you don't matter.
all that matters in the end is kindness.
all we have to see is our own divinity.
all we have to see is our own beauty in
simplicity.

we have to see beyond what we are right now.
we're too spiteful to understand
we're all beautiful.

we're too selfish to believe
we're all loved.

we're too nearsighted to comprehend
there's no death.

we're too cold to feel
the surpassing warmth of the heart.

we're too sad and down to see
the transcendence of humanity

we're too unfulfilled to grasp
the fruits of acceptance

we're too hypocritical to hear
the spirits call to our true natures

we're too lonely to see
our brothers and sisters surrounding us

we're too paranoid to feel
comfortable in our bodies

we're too afraid to admit
one another's successes, that it might shadow our own.

we're too hard to feel
sympathy for the murdered and murderer

we're too sensitive
to allow ourselves to feel.

yet, i cannot help but hope for a glorious tomorrow,
where we can see we are all brothers and sisters.
no longer afraid of the label of innocence,
i wish this with all my heart.
